Black & White Australian Series
This original graphite drawing is of a young Lumholtz Tree Kangaroo. This little female joey was orphaned in Far North Queensland and was being cared for by a dedicated wildlife carer when I visited her. I called this piece'Mabi', after the aboriginal name for tree kangaroo.
The original of ‘Sir Edgar’ was drawn with charcoal pencil on Fabriano hotpress paper. This emu was a rehabilitated wild emu who released at a homestead in St George, QLD, and often came to investigate visitors.
Charcoal drawing on mixed media paper. This image is of a young platypus that Amber treated as a veterinary patient in early 2017.
