‘Western Blue Tongue’ was drawn with pastel pencil on Pastelmat paper. This western blue-tongued skink was rescued by the artist on the Stuart Highway, just before a large road train came thundering down the road. It was unharmed but clearly defensive, throwing out its tongue repeatedly. The original drawing measures 380 x 350mm and was completed in October 2018.
